INSURANCE: Better safe…

| December 12, 2018 12:00 AM

When I read off all the people needing help for Christmas and the goal Press Christmas For All is trying to reach, my heart goes out to all those involved.

I also think it may be a good idea to talk about life insurance.

Young people, especially with small children, should talk to a life insurance agent to find out if they can afford whole life or term insurance. Even if you could only afford $50,000, just think how much that amount would help if the breadwinner suddenly passed away!

It’s better to check into when you are young. As you get older, it goes way up and God forbid you have a horrible illness, then try to get it. Please check into it young people — the hope is you never do need it, but if something devastating does happen, at least the money will keep things stable for a little while so you can grieve and take care of the kids before you have to start looking for a job, selling your house, etc. Just a thought.
