RATHDRUM — Josiah Haaland had 12 points, 15 rebounds and eight blocked shots for the Lakeland Hawks in a 71-52 nonleague win over the Bonners Ferry Badgers at Hawk Court.

“After the Lakeside game (a 77-65 loss last Saturday), we really had to focus on our defensive pressure,” Lakeland assistant coach Tyrel Derrick said. “We manned up and got some early baskets and got into a nice rythmn on offense. We’re really gelling as a team this week. It was a good game for us.”

Jalen Skalskiy scored 21 points for Lakeland (3-3), which travels to Coeur d’Alene next Tuesday.
