DALTON: Cause for concern

We are also longtime Dalton residents and have attended many council meetings, just as the Sonnens. We do not believe the Streeter property is a unique circumstance, as they stated, since our acreage was also divided decades ago into separate taxable parcels. Our back acreage is undeveloped and has no street frontage; it would be hard to believe the only two such properties in Dalton would both be located on the same street. Chances are more do exist and the Streeter subdivide, if allowed to proceed, would open the door for future legal challenges to anyone wishing to fight an arbitrary date. These challenges would occur at the expense of Dalton residents just as the current one has.

We support keeping the standing law of legal frontage intact and if need be, the recall of the city council and mayor.
