Today's ghastly groaner

There once was a court jester who loved puns so much he shared them all the time, much to the annoyance of the king.

When the king became fed up and had enough of these terrible puns, he threatened to hang the jester if one more pun came out of the jester’s mouth.

The jester couldn’t help himself and ended up on the scaffold in the town square.

In a moment of benevolence, the king relented, and he asked the jester how he felt.

The jester said, “No noose is good noose.”

The jester is no more.
