For this national day of mourning, the following closures are in effect:
- The U.S. Postal Service will not deliver regular mail and all post offices are closed.
- The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq are closed.
- The Idaho Panhandle National Forests and Bureau of Land Management offices are closed.
- All Social Security field offices and hearing offices are closed, but the agency’s online presence is available to consumers.

Under President Trump’s order, some federal offices and agencies may remain open for reasons of national security, defense, or other public need.
