| December 4, 2018 12:00 AM

Trinity Livingston, 18, of Post Falls, was recently awarded the Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn and comparable to the Boy Scout Eagle Award.

Livingston received the award at the annual Fall Ceremony in Post Falls. It was presented by Brian Newberry, CEO of Girls Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, along with staff and volunteer members, for her Efficiency and Beautification Project for the Post Falls Food Bank. For the project, Livingston led her team in building a work podium for the food bank’s warehouse and a flower garden welcoming its clients.

Livingston, who graduated from Post Falls High School in June, also became an Adult Girl Scout and co-leader after 12 years of scouting.

While in high school, Livingston was in the Girl Scout college scholarship program. She is finishing her first semester at North Idaho College and intends to go into the nursing field.
