Post Falls girls drop road match

MOSCOW — After a scoreless first half, a goal in the 47th minute was the difference in the Post Falls Trojans 1-0 loss to the Moscow Bears in nonleague play on Wednesday afternoon.
“It was a disappointing result tonight,” Post Falls coach Steve Mills said. “It really feels like a game we shouldn’t have dropped. We came out really flat, and started slow. We had trouble connecting passes and our movement was really poor. Lots of things from the game as coaching points, and we use this to improve.”
Post Falls (1-1) travels to Sandpoint on Tuesday.
First half — none. Second half — 1, Mos, Ava Jakick-Kunze (Hannah Broyles), 47:00.

PRIEST RIVER — Freshman Isabella Lucky had two goals and an assist to lead the Panthers past the Spartans in an Intermountain League match late Tuesday.
“The girls were ready to get on the field after dealing with indoor practices most of last week and the beginning of this one,” said Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Stacy Smith of the team’s season and league opener. “We finally have our first game under our belt, and I’m pleased with the result. We certainly have a few things to work on to build to what we’d like to see by the end of the season, but I was happy with the play of our veterans and their leadership on the field.”
Coeur d’Alene Charter is scheduled to host Grangeville today at Community United Methodist Church Field.
