SHASTA: Notorious notary

Aside from Shasta not owning the house herself, she proceeded to attempt to transfer the ownership to her father, Steve.
Steve recently had his day in court and he produced a NOTARIZED note. The note states Shasta wishes that her father have the house. The one obvious problem is that Shasta doesn’t own the house, and it’s not hers to give away.
My question is: Who is the Notary Public that signed off on this note? Any honest Notary would request the title to the home, to check for first mortgages, second trust deeds, liens, etc. This Notary should have their commission revoked for lack of fudiciary duty. Perhaps it is a forgery. Somebody overlooked a major detail.
