LIBERAL: For Idaho's people
I am a liberal. This term is being bastardized by Republicans as a term for some dark and evil thing. A liberal is A.K.A. a progressive or the party of Democrats who choose to move the discussion forward in regard to the needs of the people.
As a progressive, I greatly support expanding Medicaid. I believe that all citizens of Idaho should be able to have health insurance and such a program was created by progressives. Which brings up another evil term: “ObamaCare,” God help us all, under which this program was made available. Knowing this program will save the state of Idaho millions in medical costs the conservatives chose not to do this numerous times. Does that mean that a conservative is a regressive?
Russ Fulcher has made this perfectly clear in an interview in The Press on July 31. In it, he stated that he opposes this expansion. Mr. Fulcher has his feet firmly in the starting blocks for the race against Cristina McNeil and has chosen to face in the wrong direction and run back to his cave. Mrs. McNeil will support the humans of Idaho. Someone has to.
