COUGARS: The man's right

Regarding The Press article about cougars by James Mundy IV, I’ve known Jim for 60-plus years. I find his article very informative. He has done a lot of research into the survival of the big cats not only in the United States, but worldwide. In general, I totally agree with him. If any type of animal attacks a human, it is always the fault of the animals. They are pursued and destroyed.

I grew up in Kittitas County and spent a lot of time in the mountains surrounding the Kittitas Valley. I’ve seen four large cats in my lifetime and never been bothered by any of them. People have to realize you’re in their territory and show them you respect their domain. I also feel you should interview Jimmy. He has a lot of information to share with the public. He has accomplished a lot things in his lifetime. His contribution to our society would be a great story to share with the public.
