Casey Mitchell, 22

Our beloved Casey has returned to heaven on April 17, 2018. He was the proud older brother of two siblings; his little sister, Sareneé and his little brother, Cody; and also the beloved son of Tracy and Annette Mitchell. Born in Aberdeen, Wash., on Dec. 28, 1995, he was raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, until the age of 22, where his long endured battle with asthma came to a peaceful end.

He attended Lake City High School and graduated in 2014, where he went on to become an assistant manager at Sherwin Williams and eventually obtained a manager position in Pullman, Wash., which he was preparing for at the time of his passage. He excelled in both school and work and became the youngest store manager of his company. He took pride in his career and loved his work and coworkers.

Casey flourished with hobbies, including playing guitar, recording music, going out, and especially building, modding, and racing his sports car and truck. He was a member of a popular car club and was the proud owner of an all-white 2004 Chrysler Crossfire and a black and yellow ’93 K5 Blazer. He was also an incredibly skilled guitar player and musician. His girls (guitars) will miss him dearly. He took after guitarists Jason Richardson and Nick Johnston and had built a full, professional recording studio with his bare hands. His music touched many and will forever last in the hearts of those who heard it. Finally, he was also a very talented gamer and appreciated them his entire life. We are confident he is enjoying the next level. His tags were StarRacer and FearTheElement, and they will not be forgotten.

He was an incredibly loving and compassionate man with the most outgoing personality you could imagine. Not just a blessing, but a miracle; a gift that keeps on giving. He was a life donor and saved four lives. He was loved immensely and will be missed greatly by everyone his heart has touched, especially his dog Kuma. We love you Casey.

The celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Lake City Community Church on Ramsey Road. The celebration will continue at the family’s home from 2-5 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring and share photos if you have them.
