Sandra Rae (Jenkins) Stoddard, 76

Sandra “Sandy” Rae (Jenkins) Stoddard, 76, of Post Falls, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2018, with her family at her side.

Sandy was born Jan. 31, 1942, in Wardner, Idaho, to Harry and Audrey (Carder) Jenkins. When Sandy was six months old her dad, mom and sister, Donna, moved from the Silver Valley to Seattle, Wash., where she resided until 1959.

Sandy then moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with her first husband, Jim, and shortly thereafter had her eldest son, Robert.

In 1964 Sandy married Kenneth “Kenny” Stoddard. They welcomed son, Rock, and daughter, Lisa, to the family before moving to Post Falls in 1972, where Sandy had resided ever since. Sandy and Kenny were married 47 years.

Sandy was a phenomenal homemaker who also worked part time to provide “extras” and enjoy family vacations and excursions. Sandy also enjoyed volunteering and gave several dedicated years to the Hospice Thrift Store, before giving 11 years to the Real Life Ministries Thrift Store.

Sandy loved to shop at thrift stores with her mom, sister and family friends. It became a passion and she had a keen eye when it came to things of value. She also loved to spend her time crocheting baby blankets, giving them to family and friends and donating to Kootenai Health Pediatric Unit. Sandy was an excellent cook, housekeeper and organizer; her house was meticulous. She enjoyed fishing, golfing and yard work with her husband Kenny, children and friends. Sandy’s family meant everything to her. She also had a longtime group of friends who she held dear to her heart.

Sandy was a kind-hearted and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Kenny, and her parents, Harry and Audrey Jenkins.

She is survived by her three children, Robert (Elaine) Edinger of Post Falls, Idaho; Rock Stoddard, of Spring Hill, Fla., and Lisa Stoddard of Post Falls; sister, Donna Jenkins (Ron Stickney) of Post Falls.
