Dorothy Leming, 87

My beloved mother, Dorothy Leming, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2018. She was born in Windsor, Wis., on Dec. 20, 1930, to Hannah and Loren Johnson. Her siblings were Robert, Lorraine, Arlene, Joyce, Emilie and Ronnie.

Dorothy married Richard Leming on June 10, 1950. They were blessed with three children: Jill, in 1952; Barbara, in 1954 and Robert, in 1959.

Dorothy’s husband had a career in the Air Force and the family lived all around the USA and various parts of Europe. Dorothy was a homemaker and part-time college student. At age 50 she graduated from the University of Minnesota.

She had a variety of interests, including gardening (especially roses), reading, painting, Bible study, assisting in church functions and spending time with her family.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and children, Barbara and Robert Leming, as well as both parents and all but two of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Mikael of Hayden, Idaho.

Dorothy’s memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Lutheran Church of the Master, in Coeur d’Alene. A reception will follow at the church.
