NIC to host environmental writers for Get Lit!

North Idaho College is hosting authors Ana Maria Spagna and Josh MacIvor-Andersen for a free discussion on “Reclaiming Environmental Writing: An Outdoor Reading and Writing Seminar” from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 27 in Cheamkwet Park at the Children’s Center Pavilion on NIC’s main campus. The event is part of the Get Lit! Festival hosted by Eastern Washington University each year.

Join these two acclaimed outdoors writers to discuss and practice writing that depicts purpose and beauty in the natural world. Be prepared to write!

Ana Maria Spagna lives with her wife in a remote community in the North Cascades accessible only by foot or boat. She is the author of several books including “Reclaimers” and “Uplake.”

A former competitive and professional tree climber, Josh MacIvor-Andersen is the author of the memoir “On Heights & Hunger.”
