Mitchell, a junior, set personal bests with victories in the 100-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles in the Blue Legends Invitational on Saturday at Walla Walla High. Mitchell, who also earned Female Athlete of the Meet, won the 100 hurdles in 15.50 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 45.40. “Klaire is just so athletic,” Lake City coach Kelly Reed said. “She’s finally getting some races under her belt. She competed hard today. She’s been working hard, and it was fun to watch. She competed great today.”
