Cardinals rout Spokane twice

SPOKANE — East Region-leading North Idaho College hammered Community Colleges of Spokane 16-1 and 17-3 in a Northwest Athletic Conference softball doubleheader Wednesday at Spokane Falls Community College.

NIC improved to 35-3, 20-2 NWAC. CCS dipped to 9-13, 15-5.

NIC plays host to second-place Wenatchee Valley (18-4, 22-8) on Friday in a 2 p.m. doubleheader at Post Falls High.
