The North Idaho Fair Foundation announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors.

Kelly Branigan-McFarlane brings to the board an extensive background in accounting and proficiency in multiple software disciplines. She is the owner of Cedar Mountain Blankets in Athol, serving clients with repair and cleaning for various types of horse-related products. Branigan-McFarlane contributed to the success of the Cowboy Ball this past year, and she will be overseeing the bi-annual newsletter for the foundation.

She has two children, son Anders and daughter Hanne.

John Morrison works for the Coeur d’Alene Fire Department as a battalion chief. He has served the city for over 20 years as a member of the department. He has joined the foundation as an opportunity to continue to serve the community by working hard behind the scenes for the fair and rodeo. He believes that the Gem State Stampede is incredibly important for the area and is a premier event. He enjoys spending his time in the community with his wife, Jill, and son Joe.

The mission of the North Idaho Fair and Rodeo Foundation is to raise funds for capital improvements at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds and for educational opportunities for area youth.

The foundation also conducts educational community outreach programs and presentations to enlighten the community of the economic and cultural value of the rural way of life, the fair, and the fairgrounds.
