Cards finish unbeaten in Oregon

GRESHAM, Ore. — Ashlynn Winn hit a three-run double in the top of the fifth inning for North Idaho College in a 9-0 win over Mt. Hood on Sunday, concluding an Northwest Athletic Conference crossover tournament 6-0.

Earlier, Madi Mott hit a pair of solo home runs and Kalyna Korok hit her 12th home run of the season as the Cardinals beat Lower Columbia College 8-5. Mott struck out seven in a complete game win, taking her record to 17-1 on the season. Kayla Curtan also had two RBIs against Lower Columbia.

Megan Carver had two RBIs and Curtan and Kennedy Anderson had two hits each for NIC against Mt. Hood.

NIC (33-3) resumes conference play with a doubleheader against the Community Colleges of Spokane at Spokane Falls on Wednesday, starting at 2 p.m.
