Helen I. Phillips

My loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away at the age of 89 on April 15, 2018, at Scneimiller Hospice House. She was born Oct. 22, 1928 to Victor and Amanda (Sundeberg) Johnson in Minnesota.

Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, and six siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Toni of Klamath Falls, Ore.; two granddaughters, Amanda of Klamath Falls and Jolene (Chris) Murray of Newport, Ore.; two sisters-in-law in Spokane and Minnesota and numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen has been a resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for over 20 years after retiring from the State on Minnesota. With Bill, they enjoyed golfing, bowling and going to the casino. She did beautiful cross stitch, loved to read, work puzzles and always completed the daily crossword puzzle.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of North Idaho. A memorial gathering and luncheon in Helen’s honor will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 530 W. Harrison Ave in Coeur d’Alene.
