Harry Dudley, 76

Harry Dudley, 76, of Rathdrum, Idaho, entered into the arms of the Lord on March 23, 2018, in Lincoln City, Ore. while on vacation with family.

Harry was born on Feb. 3, 1942, to Harry and Adela Dudley, in Crosby, Minn.

Harry married Gayle (Scammel) Dudley on May 29, 1971, in Pinehurst, Idaho. Harry and Gayle have three daughters, Stacy Dudley of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Roxanne (Dudley) Rash of Coeur d’Alene, Carrie (Chad) Patrick of Rathdrum; three grandchildren Tren Dudley, Alyssa Wolff and Anessa Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Braylon, Jayce and Jude; and one special little girl he called “Granny,” Breilia.

Harry grew up in Thompson Falls and Trout Creek, Mont. He worked in the mining industry as a hoistman at the Crescent Mine for Bunker Hill for 18 years. He then went to Crown King, Ariz., for a while, then back to small mines in Idaho.

Then he went to work in Lead, S.D., for Homestake Mine for two years before heading to Nye, Mont., and the Stillwater Mine where he worked for two years, then he went to Elko and Carlin, Nev. to work for Barrick Goldstrike mine until he retired in 2004 at the age of 62.

Harry loved fishing and camping and gardening, going on car rides and traveling. Harry was a very honest person and straight-shooter. He would tell you like it was.

Harry leaves his wife and children behind, along with two sisters, Adela (Wilbur) Hartte of Libby, Mont., and Elizabeth (Mark) Lee of Marysville, Wash.; one brother, Ron (Diane) Dudley of Troy, Mont.; along with numerous other family members and friends.

Harry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Adela M. and Harry T. Dudley, Sr.; three brothers, Raymond Dudley, Charles Dudley and Dave Dudley and sister, Rose Dudley.

There will be a celebration of life at 11 a.m. on April 21, 2018, at the Altar Church, 901 Best Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with a potluck to follow.
