FULCHER: A servant leader

I encourage you to join me in voting for Russ Fulcher for Congress because he has shown himself to be a servant leader who has our interests at heart. Having served as a leader in the Idaho Senate, Russ has conservative bona fides. For instance, Russ championed the Grocery Tax Credit, returning more than $600 million to Idaho’s working families since implementation. He passed more pro-life legislation than any other legislator in recent Idaho history. On the issue of the Second Amendment, Russ has an A+ rating from the NRA. With regard to the economy, Russ’s international and local real-world business experience and acumen will serve him well in helping Congress facilitate further economic growth.

Regarding healthcare—actually, health insurance—Russ actually did fight against bringing Obamacare into Idaho. This issue is of particular importance to me, because Obamacare has unsustainably raised my family’s health insurance costs and restricted our healthcare options. Previous to Obamacare, our premiums were less than $10,000/year with no deductible. This year, they totaled more than $15,000 with a $14,600 deductible. Thank God President Trump managed to convince Congress to remove the mandate, but the entire regulatory monster needs to go, and Russ will fight to remove its stranglehold on Idaho families and businesses, along with its drag on our economy.

In conclusion, having met Russ, I believe he deeply cares about the people of Idaho, and that he has the legislative experience, knowledge, and character qualities essential to faithfully represent us in DC.
