Nate Burch

Coeur d’Alene High

Burch, a junior, won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.66 seconds to set a school record in the Pasco Invitational on Saturday at Edgar Brown Stadium. “He wanted to win this race badly because it was against the Rocky Mountain athlete who beat him at state last year,” Coeur d’Alene hurdles coach Linda Lanker said. “He has gone from running a 14.8 to a 14.66 this season, which is the second fastest time in the state so far. The sky is the limit with this young man, and I could be more proud.”
