Dems to host annual Democracy Dinner

The 16th annual North Idaho Democracy Dinner, hosted by the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee, will take place at Red Lion Templin’s Hotel in Post Falls on Thursday, May 10 at 5:30 p.m.

The event will kick off with an outdoor (weather permitting) social hour on Templin’s riverside patio. The social hour will include live local music and a chance to mingle with local and state Democratic candidates and to learn more about their campaigns.

The keynote speaker for the event is Lisa Brown, Democratic candidate for the Washington State 5th Congressional District. Brown is a former college professor, Washington state legislator and Senate majority leader, and chancellor of Washington State University-Spokane.

The event will include a silent auction, as well as an award ceremony for the Art Manley Lifetime Achievement and Rising Star recipients.

Individual tickets are $50 until April 27, then $55 thereafter. Reserved tables for 8 are $500 each. Reservations must be made by May 4. Tickets are available at www.kootenaidemocrats.org/events. For additional information, contact kootenaicounty democrats@gmail.com.
