Marie Theresa Ragozzino, 100

Marie Ragozzino was born in Everett, Wash. on July 28, 1917. Her Angels guided her to Heaven on April 9, 2018.

Moving from Seattle, Wash., to California in 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Ragozzino. Together they built a beautiful life and moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 1994 to be close to her daughter, Rhonda Mazzali, Rhonda’s husband, Steve and two grandsons, Nicholas “Nic” and Anthony “Tony” Mazzali.

Marie and Jerry enjoyed the simple things in life and were very giving, kind and always helping others. Besides her deepest love for her husband, her two grandsons were the world to her. Family dinners were a mainstay and they enjoyed watching their grandsons grow into fine young men.

Upon the passing of her husband, Marie was welcomed into Rhonda and Steve’s home, where she lived happily for 13 years. Marie always had a positive attitude, accepted her decline in health, and resided at LaCrosse Rehab and Nursing facility since 2015. Her transition was smooth as she became involved with making friends, socializing and especially playing Bingo. She was blessed to have 100 percent of her mental capacity her entire life. Marie’s beloved Jerry and her immediate family were her life and happiness.

At the age of 100 years old, she passed peacefully and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her adoring family: daughter Rhonda (Steve) Mazzali; grandson, Anthony “Tony” Mazzali; great-grandson, Dominic Genaro Mazzali and great-granddaughter, Alaina Sarah Mazzali.

Marie is now joined with her husband, Jerry Ragozzino and grandson, Nicholas Mazzali. Although we miss our loved ones, they are our Angels and watch over us until we ourselves join them in all their radiance and peace.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on April 19, 2018, at Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. 208-664-3151.
