PULLMAN — Cameron Johnson of Lake City shot 75 to lead the Timberwolves to a fourth-place finish at the 27-team Palouse Invitational on Thursday at Palouse Ridge.

Gonzaga Prep won with a 309. Lewiston was second at 320, Capital of Boise third at 321. Lake City shot 326.

“It was a very challenging day of golf out there with snow, rain and wind,” Lake City coach Troy Anderson said. “I was proud of how we fought the elements and did a great job of managing the course.”

Cameron Flores shot 78 to lead Post Falls, which posted a 329.

Wyatt Williams shot 82 for Coeur d’Alene, which carded a 343.

“It was really tough conditions,” Coeur d’Alene coach Bryan Duncan said. “In my 15 years, it’s in the top three. The wind was blowing and the scores showed it for almost everyone. Everyone shot their average, but I was impressed with Wyatt Williams. He’s a freshman, but was our low man today. He’s showing a lot of promise.”
