Dennis William Duff, 71

Dennis William Duff, 71, passed away April 7, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Dennis was born May 13, 1946, in Oakes, N.D. to John and Nellie (Baird) Duff, and grew up in Havana, N.D.

Dennis went to Vietnam and served in the Air Force from 1965 to 1969. He was a airplane mechanic before trucking for numerous companies. Dennis married Viveca Lynn Cardwell Oct. 19, 1985 and had triplets. They were the joy of his life.

Dennis loved going hunting, shooting, riding horses, fishing, working on trucks and anything around the house. He was always building and making a better life for his family. Dennis was a very hardworking, respected, modest person. Always straightforward, he would help anyone in need, without anything in return.

Dennis is survived by his children: daughter, Danielle Duff and sons, Bryan and Travis Duff; sister-in-law, Lisa Vesciano; Susan Cardwell; and brother-in-laws Michael Vesciano and Greg Cardwell.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday April 14, 2018, at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 Government Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A public viewing will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home and Gathering Center, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho. Military Honors for Dennis will take place at the cemetery by the Air Force Honor Guard and the local VFW.
