POST FALLS — Madi Mott hit a grand slam in the second inning, one of five Cardinal home runs in the first game of a sweep of the Sasquatch in Northwest Athletic Conference play on Monday at Post Falls High.

Kayla Curtan, Megan Carver, Devinne Amesquita and Ashlyn Winn also homered for NIC in the opener.

Taylor Anderson drove in three runs in the nightcap for NIC (24-2, 15-1 NWAC), which is scheduled to host Big Bend in a doubleheader on Friday in Post Falls.

Spokane is 13-9, 7-7.
