CHRISTIANITY: Today's sermon

| April 8, 2018 1:00 AM

According to the “news,” the latest attack on Christianity comes from George Washington University, which is organizing a seminar charging that Christians have an advantaged position in society. I agree, but not the way they would like to portray it.

Christians do have an advantage, but it comes later — after our earthly life is done. The advantage is our knowledge of eternal life with our Lord and Savior. That makes the problems that we, just like anyone else, suffer on Earth more bearable.

That knowledge is also what causes such fear among non-believers. Deep in their hearts they know that their eternity will be one of unimaginable horror and suffering — by their own choice. Their rejection of God is purely voluntary and in the name of living a life of personal focus and avoidance of accountability. It is all in vain and they feel it, but their only defense is to deny God and attack anything that reminds them of the truth. The choice is theirs and they are invited to awaken while time remains.
