CARRIERS: Mark this date

On Saturday, May 12 the Letter Carriers Annual Stamp out Hunger Food Drive will take place all over this great nation. The voluntary donations of non-perishable, non-breakable, unopened food items that you leave in bags by your mail receptacles will be very much appreciated. Please leave them out early.

Letter carriers and volunteers will collect your generous donations and take them directly to the local food banks to be distributed locally. This is done the safest way possible.

Many have asked me why this takes place on the Saturday before Mother’s Day. It is to honor our mothers who give so much without asking for anything in return. Let’s show our appreciation to all mothers by donating generously to our local food banks.
