Aspire to present 'Children of Eden'

| April 6, 2018 1:00 AM

A musical about parents, children, faith and centuries of unresolved family business will be the final production in Aspire Community Theatre’s 2017-18 season.

“Children of Eden” will be presented at Coeur d’Alene’s Salvation Army Kroc Community Theatre, 1765 W. Golf Course Road, on select dates beginning April 18.

Based on the book of Genesis, “Children of Eden” is composed by Stephen Schwartz, famous for his work on “Wicked” and “Godspell.”

The show is described in Aspire Community Theatre’s announcement of the production as “a beautifully crafted score” that “comes to life with a cast of storytellers who share the sweeping story based on the book of Genesis. Adam, Eve, Noah and the Father who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children.”

“Children of Eden” features 27 local performers along with a live orchestra.

Show times are: April 18, 19, 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m.; and April 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $12 to $21 and can be purchased at aspirecda.com. 208-696-4228
