Dale Wayne Turner, 76

Dale Wayne Turner, 76, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 3, 2018.

Dale was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Red Bluff, Calif., to Wayne Turner and Alta McGhee. He has a younger brother, Daryl Jack Turner. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962.

Dale married Beverly Kay Moorman in 1964. From this union came four daughters. In 1977, Dale married Marilyn Elaine Pincock in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Dale was a loved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had a passion for all adventure and humor that created a perfect foundation for our family to happily love life.

Dale owned American Electric in Kootenai County, Idaho, for 38 years. Dale was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities.

Dale is preceded in death by his father, Wayne C. Turner, and mother, Alta McGhee Turner.

Dale is survived by his spouse, Marilyn Turner; children, Julie (Craig) Creek Jackson, Daleen Fisher (Franklin Tigner), Taunia Cope and Ronda Ramsey; step-children, Rick Hall (Lynette), Sherry Deming, Darla (Bob) Cox and Reed (Lisa) Hall; along with 33 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or Hospice House.

Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Yates Funeral Home, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho, and from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the LDS Church, 477 E. Honeysuckle Ave. Hayden. Services will follow at the LDS Church at 1 p.m.

Graveside services to follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Garden, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with full military honors.

His family said, “they liked the guy a lot.”
