BROOKS: Column's a keeper

My wife and I read Bill Brooks’ column faithfully and have learned a great deal from him. Because of that, when we received a phone call that sounded suspicious, we didn’t call the number we were instructed to call, but called Bill Brooks instead. He very graciously listened to my story and then quickly assured me that this was indeed a scam.
Mr. Brooks’ column has done a lot to raise awareness of people to scammers. Thank you to the Coeur d’Alene Press for publishing this column, and thank you to Bill Brooks for being “on our side.”
