LICENSE: Step up, state

| October 27, 2017 1:00 AM

I was amazed to learn from the sheriff in your paper, that his office has the responsibility and challenges to run the Idaho State DMV office here locally. How bizarre is that? Only two states, one of which is this state, operates in such a poor and illogical way a state agency delegated to local LEOs!

I feel sorry for Wolfinger being forced to do a state function job on a state issue like driving licenses. Ridiculous!

I sure hope efficiency and common sense in government management, our legislators sit down and realize this makes no sense and is unfair to local jurisdictions to pawn off their responsibility locally.

Probably nothing will change in Boise on this issue if they even bother to discuss it, as history tells us fresh ideas and creative thinking for the good of the common citizens will be tabled immediately.

I dread my renewal date next year.
