SIGNS: Know the laws

| October 25, 2017 1:00 AM

Regarding the recent front-page article, Coeur d’Alene Press, Oct. 20, “Steal a sign, commit a crime,” which contained a statement by Deborah Rose complaining about the theft of her campaign signs, and the fact that they were placed on “private property” — all of the signs that I saw in the Athol/Bayview area were placed on either the Idaho state or Kootenai County highway right-of-way, which is illegal. Maybe she should contact the Idaho Department of Transportation and/or the Kootenai County Highway Department regarding her illegally placed signs.

Hopefully, she understands the state laws relating to her responsibilities as a Timberlake Fire Commissioner.
