Sydney Shanahan

Post Falls High

Shanahan, a sophomore, won the 5A Region 1 cross country championship last Thursday at Farragut State Park, finishing in 19 minutes, 25.5 seconds to lead the Trojans to their second straight regional title. “She got after it,” Post Falls coach Brian Trefry said. “I knew the team scores between us and Coeur d’Alene were going to be really close. Sydney got out to a good start and was leading a good portion of the race. (Coeur d’Alene’s) Lauren Forster ran a great race, but Sydney has ran really well all year and ran great again today.”
