NFL: Let's kneel together

The National Football League (NFL) and the president have created an impasse that will further divide the nation. All parties involved would achieve more if they bent their knee to God, rather than the gridiron. My respect for some in the black community diminished when a few overpaid NFL players chose to kneel during the playing of the National Anthem. The flag or the anthem should not be used for political protests. Far too many flag covered coffins have been returned to relatives from wars fought to keep the nation free for all ethnic groups.
