Cecilia M. Kologi, 95

Cecilia M. (Wettstein) Kologi, passed away Oct. 18, 2017, in Hospice care.

Cecilia was born July 10, 1922, to Mary (Hansen) and Otto Wettstein in Long Prairie, Minn., where she was raised and attended school. She married Steve Kologi on May 1, 1943, in Long Prairie, Minn., and then moved to Victoria, Texas, where Steve was stationed in the Army Air Corps. After the military service they returned to Minnesota and lived in St Cloud for 25 years. In 1974 they moved to Dalton Gardens, Idaho.

Cecilia and Steve raised seven children together and she was a loving mother and wife. A member of St Thomas Catholic Church, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, music and raising her family.

Cecilia is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Roxanne Kologi of Florida, Jerry Kologi of Minnesota, Dennis Kologi of Minnesota, Mike and Annette Kologi of Osburn; daughters and sons-in law, Sharon and Bill Johnson of Dalton Gardens, Diane and Ron Bremer of Coeur d’Alene, Mary and Jess Hagey of Washington; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by husband, Steve; daughter-in-law, Judy Kologi; two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday Oct. 23, 2017, with the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 24, at St. Thomas Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
