Theresa Lynne (O’Neill) Patrick, 52

Theresa Patrick passed from this life to the next Sept. 20, 2017, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Theresa was born Feb. 1, 1965, in China Lake, Ridgecrest, Calif., to Dennis O’Neill and Georgia Knowlen.

She met the love of her life, Michael Patrick, via Love@AOL. They chatted 3-4 months before meeting in person. Theresa knew that Michael was a keeper, and on Sept. 6, 1998, they were united in marriage in Coeur d’Alene at The Colonial Wedding House on Foster Avenue in a beautiful ceremony.

Theresa enjoyed a life full of love, laughter and joy. She loved to spend time outside, particularly in her rose garden. She took great pride in nurturing many varieties and colors of roses at her home. Theresa loved her pups! She enjoyed not only the joy of creating a loving home for her furry children, she was considerate of their feelings, their preferences and their lives. Theresa loved to ride on her bicycle! She thought it a joy to hop on her bicycle to ride to Spokane and back — all in the course of one day!

Theresa’s boundless energy and driving force was an asset to her various entrepreneurial endeavors and positions of employment. She spent 30+ years working for the state of Washington; additional places included working for the state of Idaho and the school district. Most recent was her own cleaning business Housekeeping By Design. Her love for others was particularly demonstrated in her care of her clients with whom she cared for their homes and their pets.

The home that Michael and Theresa shared exemplified her personality. When they moved into their most recent home, Theresa worked tirelessly to have it “model house” ready for an open house, just one week after moving in!

She is survived by her husband, Michael Patrick of Coeur d’Alene; her father, Dennis O’Neill of Spokane; mother Georgia and husband Walt Knowlen of Tenino, Wash.; and brother JR O’Neill.

A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho. A reception will follow at the same location.

Interment will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Road, Medical Lake, Wash.
