NFL: It's a business

| October 15, 2017 1:00 AM

I first became opposed to the kneeling ball players around the same time I wrote about my disgust for NFL’s progressive showmanship.

I clearly think now I was way offsides.

My opposition could be clearly stated. I’m against the notion of millionaires and billionaires arrogantly standing (or kneeling) “for the little people.”

Now I see my opposition being portrayed for financial reasons. The billionaire telling the millionaire “rules are rules” for the little people’s sake, therefore the endorsement sake.

Since a player’s indoctrination into college level, they find sports is one way for the school to rake in money.

And then on to the big league… Endorsements, charities, military recruitment all rely on their talent to persevere.

Who are we to say we’re more important? I guess I’ll be kneeling for that reason.

NFL is a business. I am not.
