TOXIC: Full disclosure needed

| October 13, 2017 1:00 AM

In response to The Press report Oct. 6, “Safe Infant Sleep Info Now on Ambulances,” I’ve got to ask why toxic laundry products get a free pass? Isn’t it at least possible that inhaling toxic fumes from bedding, etc., while asleep, might do harm to the baby?

A University of Washington study led by Dr. Anne Steinemann, conducted in 2008, found dozens of toxic chemicals being emitted by top-selling laundry and air freshener products, all regulated as toxic or hazardous under federal law. None of those chemicals were listed on product labels.
