DRIVERS: Learn roundabout rules

| October 4, 2017 1:00 AM

With the recent road construction on Seltice, I have noticed there are drivers that do not know the proper traffic etiquette. There are two roundabouts on Seltice and there are yield signs on the straight-aways in front of the roundabout.

Some drivers fail to yield when there is an oncoming car coming around on the roundabout into their lane. Failing to yield to these cars in the roundabout is sure to result in a traffic accident.

I have avoided several collisions with other cars when I am in the roundabout ready to enter onto Grand Mill drive by the Mill River subdivision. Cars that are supposed to yield, instead proceed into my lane, forcing me to stop while I am in the roundabout.

Please, drivers, follow the proper traffic signs and yield when you are supposed to yield. Seltice is a busy thoroughfare. Everyone needs to drive cautiously and with proper concern for traffic safety.
