Robert Henry McPeak, 37
Robert Henry McPeak, 37, resident of Bayview, Idaho, passed away of complications from Type 1 diabetes, near Hope, Idaho, on Oct. 29, 2017. Robert was born to Kevin and Wanda McPeak on Oct. 29, 1980, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Robert was named after his great-grandpa. He was the oldest of their four children.
Rob’s family moved to the Plummer, Idaho, area from Alaska when he was 8. He grew up on the family farm outside Plummer. Rob’s school years were full of sports, basketball, football and baseball. He was also involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and 4–H. He was also in the school band, playing several instruments, and played in other bands outside school. He also sang at events and most everywhere he went. Rob graduated from Lakeside High School. He took an adventure to the East Coast right out of high school. Rob married Carly Spence, with her daughter, Nora, and they had their daughter, Avery. They later parted ways.
Rob loved to live life to the fullest. He loved the outdoors, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and boating. His greatest love, after his daughter, Avery, was music. He sang and played guitar and danced while doing all of the above. Rob had a sense of humor like no one else. He was quick witted, always had a comeback and his timing was impeccable. His music, his laughter and his humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Rob is survived by his daughter, Avery, 9; his sister, Kristina (Travis) Reeves of Dalton Gardens; his two brothers, Nathaniel (Katie) McPeak, of Athol and Tyler (Dallas) McPeak, of St. Maries; his parents, Kevin and Wanda McPeak, of Plummer and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services were held for Rob at 1 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 4, 2017, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in Plummer, Idaho. A celebration of his life followed at the family’s farm. Rob loved his daughter, Avery, deeply and would want good things for her. If you would like to donate to a fund to benefit her, an account has been set up at Banner Bank.
