ROSE: Needed by Timberlake
As the former District Fire Chief of the TFPD, I support Deborah Rose. Having an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the fire district, Deborah is exactly what Timberlake needs. I know Deborah to be a hard-working, honest, caring woman who will give selflessly of her time and dedication to the constituents and staff of the fire district.
The Timberlake board has not had the best track record, from recall efforts, board member’s wives embezzling money from the city, poor management, and very poor fiscal responsibility; as well as going through Fire Chiefs every few years. No responsible board should ever ask for a levy when a very large portion of the taxpayers’ money is squirreled away in reserve accounts all while apparatus and facilities continue to fall apart and firefighter wages are way below norm. This is not a reflection of the current Fire Chief, who I know to be a very good man.
Responsible fire boards promote cohesiveness and unity, working in the best interests of the people they serve. This board is ruled by intimidation and bullying, continually making terrible costly self-serving decisions that damage the district. Historically, this fire board has been the epitome of the good ol’ boy club made up of yes-men.
The District would benefit from Deborah’s contribution, helping improve the very unpleasant working environment.
I wish for the best possible representation of the Timberlake residents. Please support Deborah Rose and Sherry Graaskamp for Fire Commissioner.
