VOTE: Lamenting low turnout

What were you doing Tuesday, May 16? Only 4,323 out of 76,096 people took the time to vote?

“It was disappointing but not surprising,” said Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon.

What a shame that people don’t think the right to vote is important enough to set aside 10-30 minutes to go and vote. Some people didn’t even know what the vote was about.

Whatever the reason, we need to wake up and take note of what is going on in our area and become involved.
