NIC men win NWAC championships

DUPONT, Wash. — The North Idaho College men held on for a three-shot win over Bellevue at the Northwest Athletic Conference golf championships, which concluded Monday at The Home Course, located just south of Tacoma.
Ross Gilbert tied for second with his 72-66—138 total. Sean Langham shot 144 to tie for sixth and Luke Logan’s 145 total was good for eighth place.
The Cardinal women placed second, 11 shots behind Community Colleges of Spokane.
Mikal Jerman (80-77—157) and Aly Mabel (78-79—157) tied for third place and Madi Brown shot 160 for seventh place.
Megan Cysewski of CC Spokane, a Lakeland High product, shot a 2-over 74-74—148 to win medalist honors.
