CALDWELL — After blowing out the majority of its opposition, the Lake City High lacrosse team found itself in somewhat of a unique situation in Saturday's Division II state championship game.

It didn't have a sizable lead.

Capital High of Boise trailed by just a goal heading in the second period, but the Timberwolves soon flipped the switch and coasted to another rout at Simplot Stadium, a 16-3 decision.

Matt Duchow had his hand in nine of Lake City's scoring plays, tallying five goals and four assists. Cameron Chun and Sam Buckland each recorded a hat trick.

Lake City goalie Lucas Briner was also instrumental, protecting the gate to the tune of 11 saves.
