ANNIVERSARIES

Clay and Deanna Larkin, of Post Falls, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Post Falls Senior Center, 1215 E. Third Ave., Post Falls.

They were married in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on June 2, 1967, at the Baptist Church by the Reverend Hunter.

Mrs. Larkin is the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Calkins, of Coeur d’Alene. Mr. Larkin is the son of Ruth and John Larkin of Bolton, N.Y.

They have two daughters, Alison Larkin McArthur of Post Falls and Lori Lynn Larkin of Coeur d’Alene; and a late grandson, Evan M. Larkin.

Also Clay’s son, Richard Larkin of Upstate New York and daughter Donna White of New York.

Mr. Larkin worked in a retail grocery warehouse and was former mayor of Post Falls, Mrs. Larkin worked in a variety of retail locations until the girls were born and then became a housewife to help raise the kids.

Come help us celebrate 50 years of marriage with this open house and there is a request of NO GIFTS please.

Paul and Terri Kieper, of Spirit Lake, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on May 14, 2017.

The have one son, Ron Kieper and daughter-in-law Heidi Kieper of Spirit Lake.

BIRTH

Levi and Katie Link of Coeur d’Alene are excited to announce the arrival of their third child and first son, Landon Edwin Link. His big sisters Kenley, 4, and Peyton, 2, love their new baby brother. Landon arrived at 1:14 a.m. March 18, 2017. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Special thanks to Faith Krull, CNM, who delivered our son at Kootenai Health. Proud grandparents are Cliff and Kim Schmand of Hayden, Brad and Diane Link of Dalton Gardens, and Susan and Randy Bates of Post Falls. Also celebrating Landon’s arrival are his great-grandparents, Louis Link, Joyce Link, and Gene and Kay Baker.

EDUCATION

- Rae Hohle, the child of Roger Hohle of Bayview and Helen Dane of North Aurora, Ill., graduated from Macalester College on May 13, 2017. Hohle received a liberal arts degree in classics (classic civil) and computer science. Hohle is a graduate of Illinois Math & Science Academy.

In addition, Hohle received the following honors/awards: Cum Laude

- Sierra Pancoast, the child of Gwenda and Laurence Pancoast of Post Falls, graduated from Macalester College on May 13, 2017. Pancoast received a liberal arts degree in psychology. Pancoast is a graduate of Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy.
