Celebration set for Spirit Lake

An Armed Forces Day parade will be held today starting at 1 p.m. at the White Horse Saloon on Maine Street in Spirit Lake.

The parade, the first time for this event in Spirit Lake, is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1473 and will also feature kids games at the White Horse courtyard from noon to 2 p.m., a 50/50 drawing, prize raffles and music by Conor from 4 to 6 p.m.

There is no charge to enter the parade and participants are encouraged to line up on the corner of Third and Maine Street.

Big Daddy’s BBQ will also be serving its authentic North Idaho barbecue at the event.
