| May 14, 2017 1:00 AM

A Coeur d'Alene man was reported missing by his family and believed to be in the area of Laverne Saddle in Coeur d'Alene National Forest.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office and the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in locating Mark K. Arnold, 54.

KCSO reported Saturday that Arnold told a family member he was headed out to pick mushrooms, but has not been heard from since Thursday afternoon.

Arnold is 5-foot-9, 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be driving a maroon-colored 2003 Mazda B4000 pickup with Idaho license plate No. K499647.

A joint search and rescue mission using resources from Kootenai, Shoshone and Two Bear Air got underway Saturday.

Anyone who has seen Arnold or has any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact the KCSO at 446-1300 or the SCSO at 556-1114.
