PETS: Maybe we'll meet again

| May 12, 2017 1:00 AM

We read the letter from Elle’s owners and wanted them to know we share in their heartbreak. We sent our Misty Dog over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, May 6. She was about 16 (we adopted her 14+ years ago). Now everywhere we look we see her sweet Cocker Spaniel face. Misty also had congestive heart problems, her kidneys were failing, and her little legs didn’t want to hold her up anymore. So, we made the decision to tell her goodbye. We are so sorry that your experience has caused you such pain. We are fortunate to have had a caring, compassionate vet who has guided us (and Misty) through the years.

We hope as time goes on that the good memories of your Elle will help ease your aching heart. As you, we can’t stop the tears over our loss. But, we want to believe that our Misty can see, hear and run again — the happy, playful girl we loved for so many years. We wish the same for you in that your Elle is at peace and eventually you will be as well. We also believe that our beautiful animal friends are just waiting for us, across the Rainbow Bridge.
